These vibrant ombré July 4th drinks are easy to make, visually stunning, and perfect for festive celebrations. Layered with red, white, and blue colors, they offer a refreshing mix of tart, sweet, and bubbly flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/4 cup grenadine syrup
  • 1/4 cup pureed fresh strawberries
  • Ice cubes (preferably large or clear)
  • 1/2 cup club soda or sparkling water
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon simple syrup (optional)
  • 1/4 cup blue curaçao or blue sports drink
  • Fresh blueberries (optional, for garnish)
  • Fresh mint leaves (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Red Layer: In a small bowl, mix 1/4 cup grenadine syrup with 1/4 cup pureed fresh strawberries. Pour this mixture gently into the bottom of each glass.
  2. Add Ice: Carefully fill each glass with ice cubes, leaving enough space for the next layers.
  3. Create the White Layer: In a separate container, combine 1/2 cup club soda, 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice, and 1 teaspoon simple syrup if desired. Stir gently. Slowly pour this mixture over the back of a spoon held just above the ice to avoid disturbing the red layer.
  4. Prepare the Blue Layer: In a small pitcher, mix 1/4 cup blue curaçao or blue sports drink. Slowly pour this over the back of a spoon to form the top blue layer. Add fresh blueberries as garnish if using.
  5. Finish and Garnish: Add a sprig of fresh mint to each glass for aroma and decoration. Optionally, add a fun straw or small flag pick.

Notes

Pour each new layer very slowly over the back of a spoon to avoid blending colors. Keep ingredients chilled before layering to maintain separation. Use large ice cubes to slow melting and mixing. Prepare layers separately and refrigerate if making ahead, then assemble just before serving.
