A colorful and festive fruit platter that mimics fireworks bursts, perfect for parties and gatherings. Quick to assemble with fresh, wholesome fruits that delight both kids and adults.

Ingredients

  • Strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • Blueberries, fresh or frozen
  • Kiwi, peeled and sliced into rounds or half-moons
  • Pineapple, cut into small chunks or star shapes
  • Red grapes, halved
  • Mandarin oranges or clementines, peeled and segmented
  • Green apple, thinly sliced
  • Blackberries or raspberries (optional)
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry all fruit thoroughly.
  2. Hull and slice strawberries lengthwise; set aside.
  3. Peel and slice kiwi into 1/4 inch thick rounds.
  4. Trim pineapple skin and core, then cut into small chunks or star shapes.
  5. Peel and segment mandarin oranges, removing as much pith as possible.
  6. Thinly slice green apple about 1/8 inch thick; toss in lemon juice to prevent browning if desired.
  7. Halve red grapes and rinse and dry berries carefully.
  8. Arrange larger shapes like kiwi rounds and pineapple stars spaced evenly on a large platter.
  9. Fill gaps with strawberries, grapes, and berries to mimic fireworks bursts, layering for color contrast.
  10. Garnish with fresh mint leaves scattered around edges and between fruit clusters.

Notes

Dry fruit thoroughly after washing to avoid sogginess. Assemble the platter within an hour before serving to keep fruit fresh and vibrant. Toss apple slices in lemon juice to prevent browning. Use ripe but firm fruit for best texture. Mixing fruit too early can cause juices to run and colors to blur.
