Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup buffalo wing sauce (e.g., Frank’s RedHot)
  • 2 tablespoons ranch seasoning mix (1 packet)
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup celery sticks, cut into 3-inch pieces
  • 1 cup carrot sticks or baby carrots
  • 1 cup cucumber rounds or bell pepper strips
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved or whole
  • 1 cup crispy tortilla chips or sturdy crackers
  • 1 cup pretzel sticks or mini pretzels
  • 1/2 cup blue cheese crumbles (optional)
  • 1/4 cup fresh chives or green onions, chopped
  • Cooked chicken wings or tenders, chopped (optional)
  • Bacon bits or crispy bacon crumbles (optional)
  • Ranch dressing for drizzling (optional)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, buffalo wing sauce, ranch seasoning mix, and sour cream. Stir until smooth and fully combined. Adjust with more buffalo sauce for heat or more ranch seasoning for mildness.
  2. Fold in the shredded sharp cheddar cheese until evenly distributed.
  3. Wash and cut celery into 3-inch sticks, carrots into similar-sized sticks, cucumber into rounds or half-moons, and halve cherry tomatoes if large. Pat dry with a paper towel.
  4. Place the bowl of buffalo ranch dip in the center of a large serving board. Arrange tortilla chips, pretzels, and crackers around the bowl in small clusters. Add veggie sticks and cherry tomatoes in the gaps.
  5. Sprinkle blue cheese crumbles over the veggies and dip. Garnish with chopped chives or green onions.
  6. Drizzle extra buffalo sauce and ranch dressing over the top of the dip for visual appeal. Serve immediately.

Notes

Soften cream cheese at room temperature for 30 minutes or microwave in 10-second bursts. Balance heat by adjusting buffalo sauce. Keep veggies dry to avoid sogginess. Prep dip up to 2 days ahead and cut veggies a day before. Serve within 30 minutes of assembly for best texture.
