A quick, wholesome snack combining creamy peanut butter and ripe bananas rolled in soft tortillas. Ready in just 5 minutes, perfect for any time of day.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Flour tortillas (small or medium size)
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter (creamy or chunky)
  • 1 small ripe but firm banana
  • 1 teaspoon honey (optional)
  • Pinch of ground cinnamon (optional)
  • Chia seeds or flax seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Gather your ingredients: small tortillas, peanut butter, and bananas.
  2. Lay out a tortilla on a plate.
  3. Spread about 2 tablespoons (30g) of peanut butter evenly over the tortilla, leaving about ½ inch (1.3cm) at the edges clear.
  4. Peel and slice the banana lengthwise into thin strips about ¼ inch (0.6cm) thick or into rounds.
  5. Arrange the banana slices in a row near one edge of the tortilla.
  6. Add optional toppings: sprinkle cinnamon, drizzle honey, or add chia seeds if desired.
  7. Roll the tortilla tightly starting from the banana edge to enclose the filling.
  8. Cut the roll-up into bite-sized pieces (1-2 inches / 2.5-5cm).
  9. If desired, warm the roll-ups in the microwave for 15-20 seconds or toast lightly in a skillet.

Notes

Use slightly firm bananas to prevent sogginess. Leave a small margin on tortilla edges to avoid peanut butter leakage. Warm peanut butter slightly if too stiff for easier spreading. Best enjoyed fresh or stored loosely wrapped in the fridge for up to 24 hours. Avoid freezing to prevent mushy bananas.
