Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 oz Brie cheese
  • 4 oz Sharp cheddar cheese, sliced
  • 2 oz Goat cheese log
  • 4 oz Prosciutto, thinly sliced
  • 3 oz Genoa salami, sliced
  • 1/4 cup Honey
  • 1/4 cup Fig jam or apricot preserves
  • 1/3 cup Mixed olives (kalamata and castelvetrano)
  • 1/4 cup Almonds or Marcona almonds
  • 1/4 cup Dried apricots or figs
  • 1 small Baguette, sliced and toasted
  • 1/2 cup Crackers (water crackers or rosemary crackers)
  • 1/2 cup Cornichons or small pickles
  • Fresh grapes (optional)
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs for garnish (optional)
  • Dark chocolate squares (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prep the cheese: Take the brie and goat cheese out of the fridge 15-20 minutes before building the board. Slice the cheddar into thin triangles or rectangles.
  2. Toast the baguette: Slice the baguette into 1/4-inch rounds. Arrange on a baking sheet and toast at 350°F for 4-5 minutes, flipping halfway. Let cool completely.
  3. Arrange the cheese: Place the brie on the left side of the board, cheddar slices in the middle, and goat cheese on the right in a triangle formation.
  4. Add the meats: Drape prosciutto slices in loose ribbons near the brie. Fold salami slices in half twice to create ‘tacos’ and place near the cheddar.
  5. Fill in with accompaniments: Spoon honey into a small bowl near the goat cheese. Put fig jam in another bowl near the brie. Scatter olives, almonds, and dried apricots in empty spaces.
  6. Add the crunch and garnish: Arrange toasted baguette slices and crackers in clusters around the edges. Tuck cornichons in small groups. Add grapes and rosemary sprigs if using.
  7. Final check: Step back and look at the board. Fill any empty spots with extra almonds or crackers. Adjust bowls until the board looks balanced.

Notes

Take cheese out of fridge 20 minutes before serving for best flavor. The board can be prepped up to 24 hours in advance; assemble 20 minutes before serving. For a dairy-free version, use cashew-based cheese and dairy-free crackers. For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free crackers and skip the baguette.
