A festive and fun Halloween charcuterie board that comes together in about 15 minutes, featuring a perfect balance of sweet and salty flavors with candy corn, meats, cheeses, and fresh fruits.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz salami, thinly sliced (Genoa preferred)
  • 6 oz prosciutto, thinly sliced
  • 6 oz pepperoni slices
  • 8 oz sharp cheddar, cut into cubes
  • 6 oz brie or camembert
  • 4 oz gouda, sliced into thin wedges (smoked preferred)
  • 1 cup candy corn (classic Brach’s recommended)
  • 1 cup pretzel twists or sticks (salted)
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate-covered almonds or raisins
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries or cherries
  • 1 apple, sliced (green or red)
  • 1/2 cup grapes, red or green (in small clusters)
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs for garnish (optional)
  • 12 clementines, peeled and separated into segments
  • Handful of black olives
  • Edible eyeballs or gummy worms (optional)

Instructions

  1. Start with the bowls (2 minutes). Place small bowls or ramekins on the board—one near top left, one near bottom right, and one in the middle. Fill one with candy corn, one with olives, and one with chocolate-covered almonds.
  2. Add the cheeses (3 minutes). Place brie or camembert whole as a focal point. Arrange cheddar cubes in a small pile near one bowl. Fan out gouda slices in a line or small arc. Leave space between cheese types.
  3. Layer the meats (3 minutes). Fold salami slices in half twice and arrange in a pile or line. Drape prosciutto in loose, ruffled waves. Scatter pepperoni slices in a separate area.
  4. Add the fruits and veggies (3 minutes). Fan apple slices near the edge. Add grape clusters in a couple spots. Arrange clementine segments in a small pile. Scatter dried cranberries in gaps.
  5. Fill in with crunchy bits (2 minutes). Pour pretzels into empty spaces, tucking them around bowls and between cheese piles. Add extra candy corn or chocolate almonds in small clusters.
  6. Add the spooky touches (1 minute). Place edible eyeballs or gummy worms in strategic spots. Tuck rosemary sprigs around the board. Add Halloween-themed picks or flags if desired.
  7. Final check (1 minute). Step back and look for empty spots—fill with extra pretzels or dried fruit. Adjust for easy reach. Serve immediately, or cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate up to 2 hours. Add apple slices and fresh herbs just before serving.

Notes

For best flavor, let cheeses sit at room temperature for 30 minutes before serving. Toss apple slices in lemon juice to prevent browning. Don’t overthink the arrangement—place items in small groups and let the board fill naturally. For a vegetarian version, skip meats and add roasted chickpeas, marinated artichoke hearts, and stuffed grape leaves. For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free pretzels or rice crackers. Leftover meats and cheeses keep in the fridge for 3-4 days; candy corn lasts weeks in a cool, dry place.
