A light, fresh, and fuss-free grazing board perfect for hot weather gatherings, featuring a mix of creamy cheeses, fresh produce, crunchy nuts, and flavorful dips.

Ingredients

  • Burrata cheese (for creamy richness)
  • Manchego or aged cheddar, sliced thin (adds a nutty, sharp contrast)
  • Goat cheese log, crumbled (optional but adds tang)
  • Heirloom cherry tomatoes, halved (colorful and juicy)
  • Cucumber slices, peeled or unpeeled (refreshing crunch)
  • Fresh figs or ripe peaches, sliced (seasonal sweetness)
  • Seedless green grapes (easy to pop, no mess)
  • Baby carrots or mini bell peppers (adds vibrant color)
  • Fresh basil and mint leaves (for aroma and brightness)
  • Marcona almonds or toasted walnuts (for texture)
  • Herb-infused flatbreads or water crackers (Carr’s preferred for best crunch)
  • Olives (kalamata or Castelvetrano for a buttery bite)
  • Hummus or tzatziki (optional, pairs beautifully with veggies)
  • Honey or balsamic glaze (a drizzle adds balance and a hint of sweetness)
  • Extra virgin olive oil (for drizzling over cheese and tomatoes)

Instructions

  1. Rinse all fresh fruits and veggies thoroughly. Halve the cherry tomatoes, slice cucumbers into rounds about 1/4 inch thick, and slice figs or peaches into wedges. Arrange fresh herbs in a small bowl to keep fresh.
  2. Cut the manchego or cheddar into thin slices or small wedges. Crumble the goat cheese and gently tear the burrata into chunks, keeping it creamy and slightly loose. Place each cheese type in separate sections on the board for easy access.
  3. Fan out the herb flatbreads or crackers around the edges. Scatter nuts lightly in small clusters to avoid sogginess. Toast the nuts lightly in a dry pan for 2-3 minutes beforehand to bring out their flavor.
  4. Spoon hummus or tzatziki into ramekins; add olives to another. Drizzle honey or balsamic glaze into a small dish for dipping or drizzling on cheese.
  5. Start placing the produce on the board in small clusters, mixing colors and textures. Layer tomatoes next to burrata, scatter grapes near cheese slices, and tuck in herbs throughout for pops of green. Don’t overcrowd; leave breathing room so guests can easily pick items.
  6. Drizzle olive oil over tomatoes and burrata just before serving. Add a few fresh basil leaves on top for aroma. Give the whole board a quick once-over to fill any gaps with extra nuts or crackers.

Notes

Toast nuts lightly to enhance flavor and crunch. Keep wet ingredients like tomatoes and herbs separate until just before serving to avoid sogginess. Use gluten-free crackers or extra fresh veggies for a gluten-free version. For dairy-free, substitute cheeses with marinated tofu or nut-based cheese alternatives.
