Tender, juicy pork chops in a silky garlic butter sauce, all made in one pan in under 30 minutes. A family-friendly dinner that even picky eaters will love.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 bone-in pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Pat pork chops dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Let sit at room temperature for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  3. Sear pork chops for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C). Transfer to a plate and tent with foil.
  4. Reduce heat to medium-low. Add butter to the pan. Once melted, add minced garlic and stir for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Pour in chicken broth and scrape up browned bits from the pan. Simmer for 1-2 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Return pork chops to the pan, spoon sauce over them, and heat through for 1 minute. Garnish with parsley and serve.

Notes

For best results, use a meat thermometer to avoid overcooking. Let pork chops rest before serving. Burnt garlic turns bitter, so keep heat medium-low when adding garlic.
