Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz brie cheese (double or triple cream)
  • 6 oz aged sharp cheddar cheese
  • 4 oz goat cheese log
  • 4 oz prosciutto, thinly sliced
  • 4 oz salami (Genoa or soppressata)
  • 2 medium Honeycrisp apples
  • 1 cup red seedless grapes
  • ½ cup dried figs or apricots
  • ½ cup roasted pecans
  • ½ cup walnuts
  • 1 box or bag crackers or crostini (8–10 oz)
  • 2–3 tbsp honey
  • 2–3 sprigs fresh rosemary
  • ¼ cup fig jam or apple butter

Instructions

  1. Prep the cheese: Take brie out of fridge 20 minutes before serving. Cut cheddar into 1-inch cubes or thick slices. Slice goat cheese log into ½-inch rounds. Optionally roll goat cheese rounds in crushed pecans or black pepper.
  2. Prep the fruit: Wash apples and grapes. Core apples and slice into thin wedges (about 8 slices per apple). Toss in lemon juice if desired. Leave grapes in small clusters. Cut dried figs in half lengthwise if large.
  3. Prep the meat: Lay prosciutto flat and fold into loose ribbons or drape in waves. Slice salami into thin rounds, then fold each round in half twice to make triangles.
  4. Toast the nuts (optional): Heat a dry skillet over medium heat. Add nuts and stir constantly for 3-4 minutes until fragrant. Let cool completely.
  5. Arrange the board: Place small bowls on board for jam, honey, and nuts. Place cheeses in separate spots spread out evenly.
  6. Add meat and fruit: Arrange prosciutto and salami near cheeses. Fan out apple slices in a line or curve. Place grape clusters in empty gaps. Tuck dried figs around board.
  7. Fill the gaps: Add crackers and crostini in remaining spaces. Tuck rosemary sprigs between items for garnish.
  8. Final touches: Drizzle honey over brie. Sprinkle flaky sea salt over goat cheese if desired.

Notes

Let cheese come to room temperature for best flavor. Slice apples close to serving time to minimize browning. For a vegetarian version, skip the meat and add roasted vegetables or marinated artichoke hearts. For dairy-free, use vegan cheese alternatives. Leftovers can be stored separately: cheese in wax paper in fridge, fruit in airtight container, nuts and crackers at room temperature.
