A quick and easy Halloween snack featuring salty popcorn, chewy candy corn, and a silky white chocolate drizzle. Perfect for parties, movie nights, or any day that needs a little color.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 10 cups popped popcorn (air-popped or light butter microwave)
  • 1 ½ cups candy corn (e.g., Brach’s)
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips (e.g., Ghirardelli or Guittard)
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil or vegetable shortening (optional)
  • ¼ teaspoon flaky sea salt (e.g., Maldon)
  • 2 tablespoons orange and yellow sprinkles or colored sugar (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pop the popcorn: Start with 10 cups of popped popcorn. If using microwave popcorn, pop two bags of the ‘light butter’ variety. If air-popping, about ½ cup of kernels will give the right amount. Let the popcorn cool completely on a baking sheet.
  2. Prep the baking sheet: Line a large baking sheet (18×13 inches) with parchment paper or a silicone mat. Spread the cooled popcorn in an even layer. Pick out any unpopped kernels.
  3. Add the candy corn: Sprinkle 1 ½ cups of candy corn evenly over the popcorn. Gently toss with your hands to distribute.
  4. Melt the white chocolate: Place 1 cup of white chocolate chips and 1 teaspoon of coconut oil (if using) in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals at 50% power, stirring well between each interval, until smooth and glossy (about 1 ½ to 2 minutes total).
  5. Drizzle the chocolate: Using a small spoon or fork, drizzle the melted white chocolate over the popcorn and candy corn. Work quickly as the chocolate starts to set.
  6. Add finishing touches: While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle the flaky sea salt and optional sprinkles over everything.
  7. Let it set: Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator or a cool spot for 30-45 minutes until the white chocolate is firm and no longer sticky.
  8. Break it up: Once set, break the popcorn into clusters. Transfer to a serving bowl or store in an airtight container.

Notes

Pop the popcorn at least 15 minutes before assembling to ensure it is completely cool. Work quickly with the drizzle to prevent the chocolate from setting into a clump. For best results, serve the same day. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
