- 12 ounces white chocolate melting wafers or white chocolate chips
- 1 ½ cups candy corn
- ½ cup salted pretzel pieces (optional)
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil or vegetable shortening (optional)
Instructions
- Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. Set aside.
- Pop your popcorn to get 8 cups. Remove any unpopped kernels. Spread the popcorn in an even layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- Place 12 ounces of white chocolate wafers or chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each, until smooth (about 2-3 intervals). Do not overheat.
- Pour the melted white chocolate over the popcorn on the baking sheet. Use a spatula to gently fold and toss until every piece is lightly coated.
- Sprinkle 1 ½ cups candy corn and ½ cup pretzel pieces evenly over the chocolate-coated popcorn. Press them gently into the chocolate so they stick.
- Allow the bark to cool and harden at room temperature for about 30 minutes, or refrigerate for 15 minutes for faster setting.
- Once completely set, use your hands to break the bark into irregular 2-3 inch clusters. Store in an airtight container.
Notes
Don’t overmix when adding candy corn to prevent it from melting into the chocolate. Use room-temperature popcorn for best results. For extra crunch, add a sprinkle of flaky sea salt after the candy corn. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days; do not refrigerate as moisture can make popcorn chewy. For longer storage, freeze for up to 2 months.
