A quick and easy protein-packed ice cream treat that tastes like dessert, made with cookies and cream protein powder, frozen bananas, and almond milk. Perfect for post-workout or a guilt-free sweet snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 medium frozen bananas, peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup (50g) cookies and cream protein powder
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/4 cup (60g) Greek yogurt, plain or vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup (30g) crushed chocolate sandwich cookies
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the frozen bananas: Peel and slice 2 medium bananas, then freeze them for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  2. Blend the base: In your blender, combine the frozen banana slices, 1/2 cup cookies and cream protein powder, 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk, 1/4 cup Greek yogurt, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Blend on high for 1-2 minutes until smooth and creamy.
  3. Sweeten to taste: Taste the mixture and add 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup if desired. Pulse to incorporate.
  4. Fold in crushed cookies: Transfer the ice cream base to a mixing bowl and gently fold in 1/4 cup crushed chocolate sandwich cookies, reserving some crumbs for garnish if desired.
  5. Serve immediately for soft serve or transfer to a freezer-safe container and freeze for 1-2 hours for a firmer texture. Let sit out for 5 minutes before scooping.
  6. Optional garnish: Sprinkle extra crushed cookies or drizzle chocolate syrup before serving.

Notes

Use frozen bananas for best creamy texture. If blender struggles, let bananas thaw 5 minutes before blending. Do not over-blend to avoid warming the mixture. Greek yogurt adds creaminess and protein; substitute with coconut yogurt for vegan version. Crush cookies by hand to control chunk size. Store leftovers in airtight container up to 3 days.
