Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 1/2 cup buffalo hot sauce (preferably Frank’s RedHot Original)
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing (or blue cheese dressing)
  • 1 cup cooked shredded chicken (rotisserie chicken recommended)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese (optional)
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, melted (for spider web topping)
  • Optional: a few drops of black food coloring (for spider web)
  • Waffle fries or tortilla chips (for serving)
  • Celery sticks and carrot sticks (for serving)
  • Optional garnish: chopped green onions or fresh chives

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Let cream cheese sit at room temperature for 15-20 minutes, or microwave on low for 10-15 seconds.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, buffalo hot sauce, and ranch dressing. Use an electric hand mixer or sturdy spatula to blend until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add shredded chicken, 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, 1/4 cup mozzarella cheese, and crumbled blue cheese (if using). Stir until well combined.
  4. Spread mixture evenly into an 8×8 inch baking dish. Sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup cheddar cheese over the top.
  5. Bake for 15-18 minutes, until bubbly and cheese is melted and lightly golden.
  6. While dip bakes, place remaining 1/2 cup mozzarella in a small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 15-second intervals, stirring between each, until fully melted and smooth (30-45 seconds total). Add black food coloring if desired.
  7. Let baked dip cool for 2 minutes. Spoon melted mozzarella into a squeeze bottle or zip-top bag with a tiny corner snipped off.
  8. Starting from the center of the dip, squeeze concentric circles of melted cheese, leaving about an inch between each circle (4-5 circles total).
  9. Using a butter knife or toothpick, start at the center and gently drag outward through the circles, creating web lines. Repeat every inch around the dip.
  10. Serve immediately with waffle fries, tortilla chips, and veggie sticks.

Notes

For best results, use full-fat cream cheese and cheese. Don’t overbake—pull out when edges bubble. Work quickly with the melted mozzarella web as it sets fast. Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 4 days and reheated in the microwave or oven.
